With almost 1,650 hectares, the Crozes-Hermitage appellation is the largest of the Northern Rhône valley, on the left bank of the Rhône river. The soils in the north part of the appellation are made of granite slopes, while those in the south are made of fluvio-glacial alluvium and rolled pebbles.

This wine comes partly from the former De Vallouit vineyard. Located to the north of the AOC: between Larnage and Crozes-Hermitage. Clay and silt with sandy-gravely soils

Winemaking method

Traditional harvesting and vinification, with alcoholic fermentation temperature controlled at approximately 18°C.

Ageing

This wine is matured for around 12 months, 1/3 of which is spent in small oak barrels (first rotation) and 2/3 in stainless steel vats.

Yearly production

30 000 bottles.

Visual

Golden yellow in colour.

Nose

A flowery, opulent wine. Aromas of white flowers, including hawthorn and acacia.

Palate

A fine, elegant wine. Generous. A touch of acidity but well-balanced. Plenty of roundness and richness.

A remarkably fresh wine, combining the finesse and richness of this appellation.
